- Ffermio's new website
I hope that you are all enjoying the new-look Ffermio.tv website. This is the result of a few months hard work, and finally - the launch day has arrived, and what better date to launch it than on our patron saint day, St. David's Day. I'm sure you'll agree that it is an attractive website as far as imagery goes and I hope that there is something here for everyone - from the pure farmers to those, although not farmers themselves, show an interest in the rural countryside of Wales.
One of the website's main attractions is this weekly blog, which will give people from all parts of Wales an opportunity to voice their opinion on a specific subject. The Minister for Rural Affairs Elin Jones AM and Dr. Wynne Davies MBE are the first two contributors, and I hope you will enjoy reading their blogs. Remember that you can also respond to their comments on the blog section.
I am particularly excited about our launch competition this month. I really enjoy photography, especially when I'm using my digital camera - and who knows, perhaps you'll see some of my photos on this website from time to time. But I'm sure that you have your own littel favourite photo of life on the farm or out in the countryside. Why don't you share some snaps with us this month by entering our competition? The fantastic prize, kindly donated by Arwel Davies Photographers of Carmarthen, is a family photo shoot with a free picture thrown in. He will also be the adjudicator of the competition. So why don't you pick up your camera now and get snapping! We will look forward to receiving your digital masterpieces!!
In this particular section, which discusses the Ffermio series itself will be one of many that I and the rest of the Ffermio team will contribute to during the next few months, as we talk about some of the interesting items that we have planned for you, viewers of the programme.
At the moment, the production team are busy filming on location on all kinds of items, including the fishing industry in Wales; the 50th anniversary of Massey Ferguson; Welsh Black cattle; and the medals which will be presented this year to formers members of the Land Army during the War.
More on these items will appear on this website soon, so remember to come back here often!
Enjoy the surfing - and Ffermio!

Rwy'n hoff iawn o'r wefan newydd - mae ol gwaith caled ynddi ac mae'n edrych hyd yn oed yn well na'r hen un! Mae'n llawer rhwyddach i ddefnyddio hon hefyd, felly byddaf yn sicir o fynd ati i edrych arni'n gyson, yn enwedig gan bod cystadlaethau gwerth chweil a thrafodaethau diddorol gan unigolion blaengar y diwydiant amaeth a chefn gwlad - mae rhywbeth yma i bawb - da iawn chi!
