Author introduction:
Huw Davies is a sheep farmer from Llandre in Pumsaint, Carmarthenshire. The land is quite high above sea level, and therefore the sheep have been used on many occasions to exhibit how farmers can improve their lambs' survival rate on high ground.
Huw is also an IT consultant and a trained facilitator with Agrisgôp. He is a member of the Regional Welsh Board of Moredun, and a member of the Farm Animal Council. In 2004 he was elected the Chairman of the Animal Health and Welfare Strategy Steering Committee, and plays a key role in organising and promoting the Welsh Lamb producers group, ‘Dolaucothi National Trust Lamb'.
