Author introduction:
Owen Davies was educated at Lampeter Comprehensive School and then graduated with a degree in Agriculture and Business from University of Wales Aberystwyth. After completing his degree, he returned home where he fulfilled his dream of farming on the family farm for the last four years. Milking is his main enterprise but he also keeps a flock of pure Lleyn and Suffolk sheep. In his spare time, he’s trained as an electrician.
The Young Farmers Organisation is an integral part of Owen’s life and he’s had the privilege of representing his club, Dyffryn Cothi, and Carmarthenshire on various occasions – singing, acting, stock judging, public speaking and even wall-papering in the Rally! Following on from these opportunities, he’s won the title of the ‘best performer under 26’ in the ‘Half Hour Entertainment’ competition. He’s also been Carmarthenshire’s Event Chairman and this year, he’s the Member of the Year for the County.
