Iola Wyn
Iola Wyn was raised in the Bow Street area near Aberystwyth, where her father worked on a farm. She was educated in Ysgol Gynradd Rhydypennau and Penweddig Comprehensive School in Aberystwyth. She used to spend most of her Saturdays reciting in Eisteddfods - until she was in her mid-teens when she finally had enough! Her mum still keeps all of her cups and trophies in her cabinet at home! After leaving school, she went to the University of Wales, Cardiff to study Welsh.
During the long summers, her jobs included counting seeds at IGER in Gogerddan, and cleaning the Pantycelyn Student Hall in Aberystwyth! After graduating from University, she received work in the BBC Radio Cymru Presenting Department, before moving on to work in the News Department where she worked as a reporter for Radio Cymru and for the Newyddion programme on S4C.
Iola joined the Ffermio team in January 2005, and moved back to the countryside to live after having lived in Cardiff for 15 years - and are busy adjusting to a quieter and more relaxing lifestyle.
