Bernard Arends was the highest scoring Australian in the competition. He scored 346 with his dog Maccas’s.
18. Richard Millichap 345
This was the second appearance for the Welshman, Richard Millichap, in the semi-final round. He appears here with his bitch Taddymor Jen who helped him gain 345 points. The farmer from the Rhondda has won the International Trials twice and won the television contest ‘One Man and his Dog’ in 2001.
19. Allister Lyttle 343
Allister Lyttle from Ireland came 19th in the semi-final round with his dog Spot with 343 points.
20. Andy Carnegie 338
The Scottish Capten, Andy Carnegie, came 20th in the semi-final rounds. He was competing with his 7 year and 6 month old bitch, Lark. The 55 year old highland farmer is a former winner of the Driving Championship in 2007 and has been part of the Scottish team three times in total.
21. Nigel Watkins 331
Nigel Watkins, from Llangadog came 21st in the semi-final rounds whilst representing Wales. He was competing with his dog Lad. Nigel has been very successful in past sheep dog trials - he came second in the last World Championship with his bitch Peg. He celebrated his 42nd birthday during the final day of the trials. His flock of sheep were used during the trials.
22. Jim Cropper 330
Jim Cropper from England came 22nd in the semi- final rounds. He was competing with his 2 year and 11 month old dog, Fleet. Jim has represented England in the last two World sheep dog trials, and reached the final twice. He came 2nd in the World trials back in 2002, and missed out on the first prize by only one point. Fleet was named after his well known dog, because he's from a strong build.
23. Ron Snoeck 329
In 23rd place Ron Snoeck from the Netherlands came with his dog Mitch. Ron came a close second to Aled Owen with his 6 year old bitch Nell. Only one merit point separated him from being crowned the Champion with his score of 643. This was his third World trials. He has won the Continental Sheep Dog Trials twice and The Netherlands International Championship three times, twice with Nell.
24. Michael Shearer 325
Michael Shearer from Scotland came 24th in the semi-final rounds with his dog Cap.
